CRAFTS

DIY Fabric CanvasThis is a very simple craft. Many possibilities. Can explore different sayings, sizes, names, patterns, and styles.  I had an extra canvas and wanted an easy way to decorate my apartment.

Materials:
Blank white canvas
Fabric
Iron on script letters
Staple gun
Glue gun

1. Lay fabric face down on a clean, flat surface. Lay canvas down on top of the fabric.
2. Pull edges of fabric firmly around the canvas.
3. Staple fabric onto the wood frame.
4. Apply hot glue to script letters and place onto the canvas. Done!

DIY Peter Pan Collar
Collars = My cup of tea.

Materials:
2 sheets of firm white felt
White button
1 roll of white ribbon
Simple sewing kit
Scissors

1. Trace the collar shapes on the felt pieces and then cut them out.
2. Overlap the two pieces in the center and punch a hole for the button.
3. Sew the button on top of the 2 felt pieces loosely so the collar can be adjusted.
4. Tie string onto the other end of the felt pieces.
5. Your peter pan collar is done and ready to tie around any blouse!

Rainy Day Mobile

This is how i made mine:
Materials:
Wood Embroidery Hoop
Ribbon
Fishing line
String
Card-stock Paper
Small clear beads
Glue & Scissors

(Tip: I hung my mobile up, from my fan, so i could apply the strands easier)
1. Trace the shapes on cardstock paper. Cut out 2 copies of each shape in each color.
2. Cut small slits halfway up the center of each shape.
3. Line up 2 cutouts and slide them together. This creates the 3D look.
4. Decorate the top of the mobile by wrapping ribbon around the embroidery hoop.
5. Tie fishing line in criss-cross pattern inside of the hoop to hang the strands.
6. Thread a sewing needle.
7. Punch a hole in the top of each shape and pull string upwards with shape at the bottom.
8. Thread on a clear bead.
9. Apply the finished strand on the mobile by tying a knot to the fishing line at the top.
10. Once all strands are tied on, you can slide them along the fishing line if needed to readjust the position.

Hanging Coasters

Drill two small holes in the top corners of each coaster. Thread rope string through each coaster.
Hang anywhere!
